Screencheat, The Invisible FPS, Console Release Detailed

Screencheat, the new first person shooter that encourages watching your oppenent's screen will be coming to consoles sooner than you think. The game's developer Samurai Punk announced this morning that the game will release on PS4 and Xbox One March 1st 2016 with all availaible content from the PC version. The announcement came in the form of a new trailer for the game:

Screencheat has seen a good bit of success on the pc so far, but we believe this is a game that will be best enjoyed on console. For those of you who aren't familiar with Screencheat here is a short description in the developers own words:

"Screencheat is a split-screen multiplayer FPS where everyone is invisible and you have to cheat to win. Remember when looking at your friends’ screen in Goldeneye was frowned upon? Well those days are gone and in Screencheat, we encourage it! Screencheat is a chaotic split-screen multiplayer shooter that forces players to rethink the way they approach conventional multiplayer games. In the Screencheat arena, fast reaction times aren’t enough to keep you alive. When everyone is invisible, players will have to master the art of taking a not-so sneaky look at their opponent’s screens and working out where they are based on uniquely coloured areas of the map and distinctive landmarks. Screencheat pays homage to iconic competitive first-person shooters such as Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Halo, by blending the elements everyone loves about those games and shaking it up with its own unique take on the genre."

We look forward to bringing you our review of the game when it releases here in just a few weeks. In the mean time, stay tuned for more news and reviews here at The New Gaming News.
