Gamers are Furious over Fortnite's Lock on PS4 Players

Fortnite Battle Royale has been taking the world of gaming by storm. The game as amassed over 125 million players and has seen great praise over the amount of platforms the game is available to play on. As per the time of writing the game is officially released on Xbox One, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and even iOS mobile devices, with plans to bring it to Android devices later this year.

However, gamers are experiencing a game breaking bug caused by logging into Fortnite on PS4 and then attempting to log in to the game on another device later. The error screen pictured above is displayed with no current way around it. The basis behind this bug lies within Sony's refusal to all cross platform play with other devices, meaning once you have logged on to the PS4 servers using your Epic account you are locked to only playing with PS4 players going forward.

Fortnite players on all devices are pleading with the developer, Epic Games, to fix this game breaking bug ASAP and we would encourage you to do the same if you feel strongly about the topic as well.

As of yet no fix has been found for this bug. We will continue to update this story as Epic responds to the fan base in the coming weeks.

Epic games has a great connection with its Fortnite fan base generally, with members of the development team actively communicating with players on social media regularly. As such we expect Epic to reach out with a fix shortly.
